Summer Lookbook : Keep it Breezy

Cotton Maxi Dress OOTD
How to Style a Printed Mai Dress
Summer Fashion

Its been eons since I have posted an OOTD. Blame my laziness, the huge back log of other posts or pure mistake, Its high time I did one.  For outfit shoots, you need a photographer. Mr. Husband is busy mostly. Thats when God's gift, Sisters come into picture. My lil sister accompanied me this time. Last week I had been to a park to enjoy the cool breeze by the lake. Summers are getting intolerable with every passing day. My style statement in the summers plays around comfort. Wearing denims is something that I mostly avoid and like to stick to my maxis and skirts.

Printed Maxi Dress

I got this cheerful printed maxi from Kolkata Local Market. The color and cotton material was enough to attract me and there was no looking back. I don’t really know what this print is called, but I quite like it for the comfort and fabric. I am totally proud of this pick from Gariahat streets. Street shopping couldn’t be better. This dress is not only comfortable, but breezy. The flare is amazing and no sleeves made me more relaxed. These cotton maxis are a boon is summers.

Since this dress is bright and printed, I had to style it minimalistic. The dress is an out and out maxi and I wanted to break the look with a belt. I took a usual belt and tied it around the upper waist. This accentuated the curves and gave more flare to the dress.

Since it was hot , plus I had a bad hair day. The best thing to do was, to tie my hair into a high bun.  This is the best summer hairdo one can do to look chic and stay calm. Paired it with my favourite silver earrings which I wore for the first time.  I totally love the bulkiness of this one.  It gave the look an edge. You have seen it HERE. The juttis added to the glam and indo western touch.

My makeup was minimal for a change. I used the BB Cream by Ponds for the base. It gives good coverage but is not heavy as a foundation. For the eyes I spread some white eye pencil on the upper eye lids and put the regular kohl by Lakme. But yes, I chose to wear a bright pink lip color. I am wearing THIS one.

P.S : I did a little show down with the orange ice candy before the sun set for the day.
Hope you enjoyed the look and pictures. More to come your way.
