Raksha Bandhan Makeup Look

Indian Makeup for Rakshabandhan Makeup Look
Odbo Baked Highlighter Review
Pink and Purple Makeup Look

Come August, I can think of two special occasions. Friendship’s Day and Rakshabandhan. This one is an ultra glam and modern look and the other is for Indian Traditional Look.
Me in collaboration with my other blogger friends bring special posts on Rakshabandhan. I chose to share my makeup look for the auspicious occasion.

Rakhi makeup is supposed to be colourful, glam and all colors. I have tried to do just that. The makeup colors, outfit and jewelry add up to the glam to sum up a perfect Rakhi makeup look.

Eye Makeup

For this purple matte and shimmer makeup look I have used the Makeup Revolution Go to Hell Palette. The color variety in this palette is one of its kind. I took the matte purple pink shade for the inner 2/3rd of the eyelid. For the outer 1/3rd I have used the glitter purple shade. With the use of eye makeup brushes, I tried to give a slight smoky look with the darker shade buffed out and well blended. You can check the full review of this palette Click Here.
Eyeliner on the upper lash line I used here and forgot to click is the L’Oreal Super Liner in Black. For the lower lash line/ water line, I have used a glitter purple liner by Colorbar, in the shade Amethyst. Eye makeup can look incomplete without framing the eye brows and thick lashes. I have used the Sivanna 3D Brow Secret for the bushy brows and the Essence Big Lashes Mascara for those wide peepers.

Face Makeup

I have first prepped by skin with Kumkumadi oil from Khandige. The oil soaks up into the skin quickly and leaves the skin hydrated. For the base today I have used Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation. This spreads into the skin and makes it a smooth canvas and leaves face flawless. I have used the Bonito Beauty Blender here. To set the base I dabbed some Maybelline Fit me under the eyes.
To add dimension onto the canvas like base. I used a slight touch of contour with the Maybelline V face contour and highlight stick. Next up is the blush from Coloressence, its a hot pink matte blush which definitely stands out. Now comes the highlight of this makeup look, if you could tell from the pictures already. The ODBO Baked Highlighter. I was stunned to look at the glow it showed up. It was visibly blinding. A full review, you ask? Well on the way in a few days.

Lip Makeup

I have used the PAC Lip Primer for the first time as a base lip product. I lined my lips with the Coloressence lip liner in Fuchsia. The rosy pink shade on the lips is the Lotus Lip Crayon. This shade is putting up the whole festive look together. What do you think?
To keep up with the theme, I wore these traditional gold earrings and bangles. I wore this printed kurta which I got stitched. Added a touch of elegance with a stone bindi. Thats all for this look.
