How to Style a Nose Pin

I have been currently obsessed with one accessory; you must have guessed it by the post title already. “NOSE PIN” i have stocked a couple of them in the past few weeks. You can check my instagram where I first sported my nose pin. I feel they give an edge to any look. I am going to come up with another nose pin look soon, if it comes out as per plan.

Edgy Makeup Look

In this look you see a clean base with sheen on the cheeks. I wanted to focus on the inner winged liner and ombre lips hence the clean base where everything pops up well. I used the Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Foundation, my hot new fav. Its so light yet covers up my flaws very well. My oily skin loves the mousy texture. I used the LA Girl Pro HD concealer in shade “Pure Beige” to hide them dark circles. Set all my makeup with the ever amazing Street Wear Powder, ideal to make the makeup last long and remain oilfree.

The sheen on the cheeks is not a highlighter, but a blush. Yes a highlighting blush from Maybelline Fit Me. I have already mentioned in my review that these make for better highlighters than blushes. The sheen is pleasing and compliments the skin so well.
For the lips I used two shades of the Makeup Revolution Wow Crayons, reviewed HERE. . I have previously tried the traditional ombre with deep color outline and light color filled in. But all the experiments were tested today, my wildest makeup experiments, came to picture today.

I have tried this experiment which I had seen in pictures. Light color outlined and darker color on the inner lips. This would create a contrasting ombre lips look. The crayons were too matte and powdery, as you can see in the pictures. To keep me off the dryness I have used the PAC Lip Primer underneath. I will post a detailed review on the performance of the lip primer soon.
I have also tried to balance with a Nude lipper. This one is by Faces, shade is called Starfish. Full review HERE.

Lets get on to the purpose of the post, The EYES. I am always in hurry for work and hardly get any time to try a new look. But each day I push myself to try something new. Finally weekends came as a blessing and I tried this eye liner look which I always wanted to try out. “The Inner Winged Liner Look”.
I have two contrasting blue shades to bring the look together. Two colors to make it more fun and definition. The two different liners for the indigo blue shade, the L’Oreal Silkissme and Coloressence Liquid Liner. Both of these shades are equally gorgeous and add up so much to the look I feel. For the lighter blue shade I have used a teal color by Colorbar Just Smokey range. The two colors have blended so well with the liner winged liner look for me.

For the brows I have lightly filed it with Miss Claire Brow Pencil, reviewed HERE. For a change, I skipped the mascara. I knew the mascara could take it away from the inner winged liner look. Thats why I didn’t take any chance, to dilute the purpose of this look.

To bring the look together I styled my current favourite teal nose stud. I don’t have a nose piercing, even after my mom forcing me for the whole life. But I suddenly grew this new thing for nose pins and quite enjoy styling it these days. Thank God for these.
