Being a working Indian woman means extra responsibilities and loads of pressure to handle. I love cooking and filming/recording it on the lens to share it with my readers/viewers.  I cook non stop on holidays. I mean breakfast and lunch generally. So this is one of my kitchen outcomes on a Sunday morning. If you follow me on instagram, you must have seen a glimpse of it already. I am preparing Vermicelli Masala Poha today.


Vermicelli Poha Recipe


You will need-

  • Vermicelli
  • Corn Kernels
  • Onion ( diced)
  • Curry Leaves
  • Ginger (grated)
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Green Chillies (roughly chopped)
  • Urad Dal


Method to make

Heat oil in a pan, add raw dry urad dal and roast it till light brown.
After its brown, add the curry leaves. Stir and add the onions. Stir and let cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Add Salt as per taste.

Add Ginger garlic to add flavor to the dish. Mix it all thoroughly.
After the onions softens, add corn kernels. Stir well. Add 1 half a cup of water.
Take the vermicelli and add it in the cooked mixture. Stir to make sure it doesn’t lump up or stick much.
The water softens the vermicelli and helps it mix well with all the ingredients and the Breakfast is ready to be served.
