I am enjoying my phase of creating makeup looks, i try my best to make the posts detailed as much as possible. I iwsh i could do a step by step post too. this post is about the current flavor of the season. I am already late to post this one. Anyway, this look can be used for Raksha Bandhan also. I am talking about the tri color makeup look dedicated to our Independence Day on 15th August 2016. I had created this look almost a week ago and couldn’t wait to share.

Tri Color Makeup Look

Saffron and Green Makeup Look

Indian Makeup Look

As you can tell, this look is inspired from the Indian Flag colors Saffron, White, Blue and Green. I have tried to include each color and made them play an important role to come up with this look.

Here is the list of products I have used

  • Coloressence HD Foundation
  • Flarmor Loose Powder
  • Maybelline Blush (review HERE)
  • Maybelline Hyper Glossy Eyeliner
  • L’Oreal Silkissme Cobalt Blue Liner
  • Makeup Revolution Geek Palette
  • Makeup Revolution Shimmer Brick
  • Makeup Revolution Colored Kohls
  • L’Oreal Silkissme Cobalt Blue
  • Revlon Matte Lip Balm (review HERE)

I started with the eyes since it’s the highlight of the look. I bought my newly bought MUR Geek Palette. First I put a white color as a base shade for the saffron and green to pop well. Took the saffron shade on the finger tip and patted it from the inner corner halfway. After sufficient color build up , used a brush to blend and fuse the color. Next, I started with the green shade in the palette which was somewhat sheer, thus finger was the best option to provide better pigmentation.  Went on layering and blending with a brush.  To give it an edge, I lined the water line with L’Oreal Silkissme Cobalt Blue shade, which instantly lifted the eyes. The upper lashline had to be thin; I used the Maybelline hyper glossy for this. Added some thick coat of mascara using the Colorbar Zoom and Whoosh Mascara.

For the face, I used the Coloressence foundation on a moisturized face. Wore it in a thick layer to provide decent coverage. I didn’t want the cheeks to shout out, thus used a subtle blush by Maybelline. The highlight had to be edgy, thus used my new favorite by MUR. To complete the look, I used the Revlon Matte Lip Balm in shade Audacious to give the saffron touch.

For the outfit, I chose a white kurti, paired it with a blue dupatta. I had to add the traditional bindi and jhumkas. This look can be worn for Rakhi and any other Indian occasion. I will dress somewhat similar for Raksha Bandhan as well.
