Travel Diaries : Trip to Mumbai

Hey Girlies,

I am very excited for this post. This is about my recent trip to Mumbai  .If you follow me on Instagram, you must know I had been to Mumbai sometime back. The reason was for a medical treatment of my family member but in the midst had enjoyed with my school friend doing fun stuff. It was a very short trip but that’s the way life is. Though I made sure to make the most out of it.

The treatment kept me busy, but to go in and around Mumbai  was my agenda.

I started with the best part – Shopping! Day 1 was all about Linking Road. The collection of clothes, shoes and bags is humongous. The price range is impeccable and stuff is really cool, I had been a major spendthrift and shopped all alone. No disturbances you know, I need to concentrate. Two hands and bag full of shopping bags, I returned victorious to ease out at home before heading for the evening out. As soon as  my friend returned from work, we made a quick plan to sit by Bandstand and grab some corn over gossip. The auto ride was smooth and fun and we reached Bandstand in no time. I was blown away with the beauty of the place; I gazed at the place for a good 5 minutes and soaked it in, as recently I have loved the sea a lot. It was dinner time and we headed to Eddies, which is quite well known in Bandra West. . The food was beyond delicious, we relished and how.

Next day I thought of visiting the Siddivinayak Temple and a round at the famous malls there. After the peaceful darshan, I headed to Phoenix and Palladium mall. Phoenix is quite small, but I enjoyed my time at the Bombay Store which has funky and colorful souvenirs to gift your loved ones. I picked up a few stuffs which I will cover in the upcoming posts. It was time to head to Palladium, the major attraction being Sephora. Oh Yes!

I took a stroll at the mall and did some window shopping, played the usual Selfie game: P and finally entered Sephora. I was expecting a lot, but I couldn’t find much in there though. I ended up buying a Sephora face masque only; the Nyx lip creams in my preferable shades were not available. I had picked up the Benefit Pore eraser primer.

It was time for yet another street shopping destination for buying some stuff for Mr. Him and my brother so I headed to Fashion street. I picked up quite a good pieces for myself too. Next spot was my favorite, Marine Drive were I enjoyed the sunset and took a long walk all the way to chowpati. Thanks to my sweetheart friend who accompanied me all the way. We digged in some Faluda and Ragra. Not quite impressed though.

The day 3 was all about beauty shopping, my first visit to the Beauty Palace and I was thrilled like a baby at the candy shop. I shopped till I dropped; I bought so much which I haven’t bought since a long time. All that to be covered in another post. In the evening I headed to Juhu Beach and enjoyed a lazy evening with family over some Masala Paw and soda. For dinner I had an awesome Burmese Dinner Meal near gold’s gym. I recommend.

Day 4 was about bonding and street shopping with my school friend. It was my last day in Bombay and I had an evening flight. But I had a lot to make the most out it. With an early morning failed agenda we left home for Elephanta caves quite late. The ferry was to take us from Gateway to the venue. Midway we decided to skip the touristy at elephanta as we had to go for Colaba Causeway shopping. It was a great decision . We grabbed a Lebanese roll and started the shopping on the streets and boy oh boy I shopped so much in a span of 2 hours. I finally realize I have great shopping skills and I should start a career out of it Blum 3

I was a happy soul when we took a cab for home. I thank my dear friend Suchana from the core of my heart without whom this trip would have been bland. Love you Rush! I will see you soon Mumbai, I have left a part of me at Marine drive and Bandstand, and I will regain myself when I go back. This city has a strange vibe, as they say and I couldn’t agree more. I wish I could move in there forever to find peace at Marine drive and Juhu whenever I was having a difficult time.

I love you Bombay and I will be back soon.

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know your experience if you have ever been to Mumbai.
