See it through my Eyes

As soon as this range hit the market, I was a happy child. The world knows my love for Maybelline products and I am not an ardent contour fan, but wanted to try them all. I got the V face range and so did my sister. I got to show you different types,  Yay!

The blush is packed in a plastic case with a click lock lid. It has a sleek brush for picking up any of the shades from the tri colored pan. The Maybelline contour blush has three triangular strips of colors, one highlight shade, next is blush followed by a contour shade. It’s difficult to use it with the applicator provided. One needs a tapered brush for using particular color for each purpose. One can also swirl and mix all the shades for a unique color as a blush.

This contour blush powder is fine and smooth. Application is easy and blends seamlessly on the cheeks and jaw line. The highlighter shade though light doesn’t appear chalky or gritty. I have big pores on the cheeks and it doesn’t accentuate them at all. The blush and contour shade are matte and soft when used with a brush. While the highlight shade has very fine shimmer particles to serve its purpose.

This trio consists of three colors- a cool toned pink highlight shimmer shade, a bloom pink blush shade, a mild brown contour shade. All these colors appear well on my NC 35 skin. On mixing the three colors together, it gives a warm pink flush on the cheeks which is perfect for the day time.

This trio contains 3 shades again- a peach shimmer highlight shade, a happy peach blush and a more intense brown contour shade. This pan is my preference for smoky eye makeup look.  The colors mixed together makes up for a subtle bronzer effect, how I prefer.

Pigmentation & Staying Power

Since the product is in powder form, I expected it to be sheer. But I was surprised with the color pay off. All the three shades have good pigmentation and it looks equally good on the face. The contour shade could have been more pigmented. The blush and shade in the pink pan reminds me of CHEEKY GLOW BLUSH. The blush stays on for quite long on me. I wore it in the morning d and stayed till evening in this November weather in Calcutta.

What I like about Maybelline V Face Contour Blush

  • Good choice for beginners at contour
  • Smooth and silky texture

What I like about Maybelline V Face Contour Blush

Recommendation: Yes
NoM Report Card: 4/5

Final Verdict

The V Face studio contour blush is the best product from the face studio range. It has three colors in one pan, making it great to travel with.the colors look flattering on Indian Skin Tone. Though the contour shade could have been darker.
