Candy Nail Art

Firstly I would like to apologize for keeping nail arts missing from this space for the longest time. I was being lazy and busy off late. Plus I like to photograph each step of nail art, for which I need someone. That just didn’t happen. Finally I got into the groove again. So let’s begin.

I have named this design as candy nails. When I see it from a distance it looks like the cupcake topping to me. This not only looks good but is super easy to make.

Things Required for Neon Shock Nail Art

You will Need-

  • Base Coat
  • Grey Nail Paint ( Avon Matte Nail Color)
  • Different Nail Colors ( i have used Maybelline Color Show, Faces, Nykaa Nail Colors)
  • Dotting Tool / toothpick

Step 1

Like always to must paint your nails with the base coat for lasting color with superior color pay off.

Step 2

Paint all the nails with one or two coats of grey shade and let it dry. I have chose a matte base and will paint the dots which is the regular glossy polish. the matte and gloss will bring in a sharp contrast.

Step 3

Take a dotting tool and choose any one color at a time to make random dots on the tip of all the nails. I chose a striking shade for the grey background, a hot pink.

Step 4

Repeat step 3 with different colors on the tip of the nail. After pink, I chose yet another eye catchy shade, neon green. There is no pattern which I followed; I randomly dotted both the colors.

Quick Tips

  • You can change the base color to white, nude or pale colors to let the tip dots pop up.
  • Remember to select a neutral or a dark shade to let the dotted colors pop and make it appear like a candy
  • You can change the size of the dots to bring in more variation and a gradient look. For this use the different sizes of dotting tool in the set.
  • I have left out the last step as my base color was matte and I wanted the glossy and matte to give a contrast.
  • It is advisable to use bright and neon shades for the dots.
