Outfit of the Day - How to Style a Printed Maxi Skirt

Hello Everyone!

I am enjoying the monsoons here in Calcutta. To go with the theme I thought of doing a bright OOTD. Monsoon is all about bright colors, easy fabric and waterproof makeup. Considering all this, I have come up with this post.

Outfit of the Day: Bright Monsoons

I am a working woman and wear formals to work. Hence my cupboard is stocked with new clothes lying unused, but nothing stop me from stocking my wardrobe with more. Don’t blame me, blame the sale season Wink Believe it or not, I had bought this printed Maxi Skirt about a year and a half ago, but never wore it. So I put my economics knowledge to some good use (optimal use of available resources).

Outfit of the Day: Printed Maxi Skirt & Bright Top

Here I am wearing a cotton printed maxi skirt. The ease and comfort of a maxi skirt is beyond comparison and the flare is Oh! so gorgeous. i love to stock these maxis in different shapes and colors *hehe*.

As you can see, the bottom is printed so I had to keep the top plain. I love to experiment with colors and since the skirt was monochrome; I paired it up with a beautiful bright green cotton blouse. It was long and hence I tucked it in. For these maxi skirts you can always style it with a crop top, to bring out the indo western touch.

I chose some lightweight but heavy looking neckpiece. It is a stone studded black and golden piece which is very light on the neck, yet gives a gaudy look. Earrings were simple black studs, not to take it away from the neckpiece and make it too blingy or heavy.
I chose to wear a pretty golden ring and a bracelet in the other hand. Hair was left loose to breather, as I just washed them. I had tried a glitter eye makeup with a washd out smoky eye.

My mission for the day is accomplished and my skirt is finally put to good use. I love to try hidden outfits in my wardrobe, which were lying unnoticed since long.
