Outfit of the Day: The Coral Maxi Dress

Hello Everyone!

Today I present you a New Outfit Post,my favorite super flowy Maxi Dress. Yes I love Maxi’s in every shape, size and form for several reasons be it the ease and comfort, or the flare. I simply love this trend. This one is a printed Coral colored flary maxi. You will see how much fun I had playing with it, in the pictures.

The maxi trend started in 1960’s and since then have always been there especially at the red carpet appearances. It’s an epitome of elegance and feminism wrapped in style and modernity.

It is most suited for curvy body types. the flow and flare hides those unwanted love handles like a breeze giving a supremely elegant appearance. One needs to be careful of the shape though, no tight and figure hugging maxis for heavy bodies please, it not going to take away the attention but bring it under the light.

Nevertheless, the maxi compliments the fit and slender bodies too. It can be worn in every shape and form for the fit body types.

I picked this one up from shopper’s paradise city, Bangkok. I want to shift there forever for the number of shopping outlets this city has. Somebody take me back now. Ok enough of day dreaming. This one is made up of a flowy easy material cut in a tapered umbrella form which I love. It’s perfect for those romantic dates and night outs with the special someone.

The best hairdo with a maxi is an elegant top knot or soft curls left loose. Its totally up to you, how you feel comfortable, a romantic side braid can add that dainty touch. The footwear should always be a little high, be it a pointed heel or a super comfy wedges. I have styled it with my favorite wedges.

When it comes to accessories, it depends on the neckline of the dress. If its deep enough wear those chunky statement pieces, if it’s collared or high neck leave it as it is, play on with earrings. Like I did here

I wanted to pair the pink dress with some golden accents. I threw on a golden neckpiece and an elegant geometric golden earring. Arm candy was a chunky golden handcuff. When you wear a chunky hand cuff on one hand, you want it to stand out and not make it too much, thus I slipped in my geometric ring for the left hand arm candy. Too much of geometry, eh?

For my hair, I like to keep it open with a quick puff form to keep my face sorted. I am wearing a red lipstick mixed with lipgloss. I have lined my eyes with brown gel eyeliner and a hint of gold eye shadow.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, like i did shooting them.
