OOTD : Happy Diwali

Hello Beautiful People,

It’s about time I do a Diwali Outfit post. I chose to wear a Saree, first time ever on NOM. I am excited and nervous to bring it to your notice. I had been to my brothers new flat which is under construction. This is where I shot my OOTD in the neon pink saree.

Indian Traditional Saree

I got this saree as a Diwali gift from my beloved Mom Smile I am in love with the vibrant festive colors used all over the sari in pink, red, green, gold and white. The fabric is georgette and the look is glamorous with bold flower prints. It is called half and half material in which half material is in different color/look from the other half. You can see one half is printed with pink vintage flowers while the other half is neon pink with motifs across the border.

I have kept my makeup all glam and glow. I started off with a primer as the weather is still warm; makeup has to last long with freshness intact. Next up, I mixed my favorite foundation with makeup setting spray to cover up all the flaws. No actually, I also used a concealer stick from Makeup Revolution in the shade medium.

For the eyes I used the Catrice Liquid Metal eye shadow in the shade “Look me in the Ice” what a quirky name. I used it all over the eyes till the crease as a base and also as a star shade. I wanted to put some pink color on the eyes, but didn’t have a pink shadow. Hence I chose a pink blush to cover the outer V of the eyes. I purposely didn’t deepen it much, just wanted the pink to reflect through the silver base color Wink

I used a liquid felt tip liner from Essence to line the eyes sharp and thin across the upper lash line. On the waterline I used the Faces Solid Black Kajal which works wonderfully as a gel liner substitute. For the lashes I used the super voluminous Falsies from Maybelline.

I highlighted my face with the Sivanna Colors Pink and Silver 5-color palette. It beautifully highlights the face as you can see in the pictures. Below the highlighter I used a pink blush from Makeup Revolution Blush Palette. I finished up the look with a beautiful tricky pink lip color from Mac Viva Glam collection in the shade Nicki.

For me any Indian look is incomplete without a bindi, it adds so much to the entire look. I opted for this gorgeous gold and pearl set to add that festive touch to the already glam look. Oh! yes and not to forget my mehendi Biggrin
