Iconic 2 Palette Ingredients

See it through my Eyes

When it comes to nudes, there is a lot of room to experiment. One can either wear the colors just on the crease or play with by shading a bit. These colors are so versatile that it suits all outfits, specially the festive ones. So lets begin the NOM Report Wink

When I received this from Jabong, it was already cracked right in the middle of the lid/cap. I somehow gathered the pieces of my heart and didnt let that overcome my joy to try out this awesome palette. This comes in a typical palette packaging. It has a transparent click lock plastic lid. The 12 shades are packed in long metal pans which appear like shimmer chocolate bars Blum 3 the transparent lid makes it easier to plan the shades you wish to play with. The applicator is standard sponge one which is dual ended. The details of ingredients, price and manufacturing date is mentioned on the back of the pack which is quite welcoming. Having said that, I miss a mirror under cover. The shades don’t have name or number for easy identification.

The texture is soft and creamy. One needs to be very light on hands to keep product wastage at bay. The shades can be blended well with each other. The shimmer shades are creamier in comparison to the matte ones. The beauty of these shades is they are not chalky at all. The shimmer in the shimmer shades is very fine, which don’t make it look over the top on the eyes.

Color Pay off

The colors are richly pigmented including the matte shades. I have not used the primer underneathe, though I had put it after applying the concealer.  Darker the shade darker the pigmentation. All the shades have good pigmentation.

Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic 2 Palette Swatches

The color variety is brilliant. There is a gold, brown, black, champagne, copper, taupe. The first dull cream shade is great as a base color and highlighting under the brows, its matte and it can’t get better. The second shade is shimmering gold the favorite to us Indians. Shade 3 is another base color but with shimmer.  Shade 4 is a shimmery copper shade beautiful to bring in the spark. Shade 5 is another matte finish color which is grey brown again great for crease color and transitions.  Shade 6 is bronze with hints of gold.

Shade 7 is one of my favorite because it is an underplayed version of gold. Shade 8 is shimmery taupe color which is rare to find. Shade 9 is a mix of gold and silver perfect to play it safe. Shade 10 is another beautiful version of gold. Shade 11 is shimmer brown shade. Last shade is black to get the best of your smoky eyes Wink

All the nude shades required are present in this palette; no doubt it is called the dupe of Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.

P.S - all the swatches are just one glide and are on bare hand, no primer or foundation used. Sorry for not sharing the EOTD, as am not well now. Will update this space once I photograph an eye look using this kit.

Staying Power

The shades stay on the eyes for quite long. I don’t use a primer; it shows up quite well over the concealer topped with compact. The mate shades are a little sheer when compared to the creamy shimmer shades.
