Easy Festive Makeup Look with 5 Makeup Products

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Karwa Chauth is a day away and being a married Hindu woman I am overtly excited. It’s a strange feeling for a foodie like me to fast for a full day and yet be happy. It’s all in the power of love Smile

It was on Lakshmi Pooja when I was invited for a ritual ceremony and then I decided to do this easy makeup look for Karwa Chauth. It is just basic makeup which any lady can do even when fasting Blum 3 sometimes hunger takes over makeup you know.

The good news is it is very attemptable makeup look. All you need is just 5 makeup products for getting a festive look for your special day.

Easy Festive Makeup Look with 5 Makeup Products

Indian Festive Makeup Look for Beginners

You need-

  1. Foundation
  2. Eye Liner
  3. Mascara
  4. Eye Shadow Palette
  5. Your favorite Lipstick

For the face makeup, I am using the newly launched Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Foundation. This is a great foundation to cover up your flaws and give a medium coverage. To get a flawless look, pat the foundation all over and face and neck.  Now blend it well with your fingers. In case you have dry skin, don’t forget to use your moisturizer as the base.

After prepping up the face, take your eye shadow palette. I am using the Zoeva Palette in Naturally Yours which has brilliant nude matte & shimmer shades which are perfect to get the festive look. Alternatively you can use, the Maybelline Nudes Palette or the Makeup Revolution London Redemption Palette - Iconic 2 . I have taken a nude matte color (Top left 1st shade) from the palette and put it all over my crease and below the eyebrows as the base shade. The nude base gives a primer effect as well as helps the color of the eye shadow to pop (Yes you just got to now a hack) Wink Next I took the gold shade (bottom line 2nd shade from left) and dabbed it all over the eye lids till the crease with the Colorbar Brush. Next taking a dark brown shimmer shade (right to the gold shade) I put it in the outer V of the eye to give a usual two toned look, blended it well with a clean blending brush.

For the lashes I chose the Essence Volume & Curl Mascara, applied a single coat. Lined my eyes with the Maybelline Gel Eye Liner.

I used my favorite red lipstick from Colorbar in the shade Hot Hot Hot to give color to my pout. Never under estimate the power of a lipstick, it can do wonders. Since I was wearing a colorful and bright outfit, I didn’t want to add color to the cheeks. But you can achieve those perfectly blushed cheeks. How? Grab that red/pink lipstick you using and put some at the back of your hand. Now take your finger and dot that lipstick from the hand on the apple of your cheeks and blend blend blend girl. There you go perfect rosy cheeks.

So our base is ready.  Now for one more trick, to highlight my high points I used the eye shadow palette again Wink Yes, multi tasking I learned during my holidays, when I don’t carry much makeup. I took the Gold and base nude shade mixed and applied on the bridge of my nose and other high points. In addtion to highlight, you can also contour with the matte brown shade in the palette (extreme right top row) and to also to fill the brows. So, what did we learn? One nude palette = multi tasking Wink yeah

Here comes my favorite part, I put on my favorite jewelry pieces and ready to sweep him off his feet Wink

So this completes the easy makeup look which you can attain for any special occasion with just 5 makeup products.

I have skipped the compact powder, concealer and blush as I tried to achieve a very basic look with minimal products.
